Field Trip!

This past Saturday we took a field trip to Oakland to visit some of my favorite places. We started off in the Strip District for chocolate (and a chance to practice my Spanish on the Ecuadorians selling sweaters in the market); then went to La Fiesta Restaurant for lunch (real Mexican food and another chance to practice my Spanish!); then we continued on to the Phipps Conservatory, where we got to see and take pictures of a lot of awesome plants and flowers; then we continued to the library so that I could take out some Spanish novels so that I can keep practicing during the week. Do you sense a theme here? Spanish and flowers on an outing with friends. That's my kind of day!
